An Apprenticeship is an excellent way for
your business to develop employees with
the skills and experience you need.
Apprentices will get hands-on experience and on-the-job
training, and at the same time gain respected
qualifications.
An Apprenticeship normally lasts from a minimum of one
year and up to three years. There are two levels: Apprenticeship
and ADVANCED Apprenticeship at NVQ Levels 2 and 3
respectively.
Both of them lead to:
- National Vocational Qualifications - providing practical skills in specific occupational areas
- Key Skills qualifications - transferable work-related skills like IT and communication, application of number, problem solving, teamwork and improving learning and performance
- Technical certificates - vocationally related qualifications that provide the underpinning knowledge of the NVQ
Apprenticeships are designed to be relevant to each
occupational area. Go to the
search facility on the home
page to find an Apprenticeship available in your area of
Sussex - and the training organisations that deliver
them.
If you have further questions, they may be answered on our
FAQs page.
