1. How to apply
Applicants can apply for an Apprenticeship direct to Campus Training or by talking to their careers (Connexions) personal adviser.
2. Are all applicants interviewed and if so where/how does this happen?
Yes, all applicants are interviewed in their place of work. It is expected that applicants will already be employed.
3. Does training take place at the work place or at other places as well?
Training and assessment takes place at work with the exception of some key skills and technical certificate training that takes place either at Campus Training's Uckfield Office or at other locations convenient to students.
4. Can a training programme be started at any point in the year?
Yes, all of them.
5. How much do apprentices normally get paid?
This is between the employer and the learner; Campus Training does not get involved.
6. Are all apprentices employed from the start by their companies they train with?
Yes
7. What help is there in finding a job?
Campus Training are able to offer applicants guidance to help them find a placement. Campus Training work closely with Jobcentre Plus who send them the 'top-ten' vacancies on a daily basis. Campus Training also carry out a weekly search of vacancies in the local newspapers and the websites of the local Councils.
8. Do you keep lists of current job vacancies?
Campus Training do not keep formal lists but do work closely with Jobcentreplus who send Campus Training their 'top-ten' vacancies on a daily basis.
9. Are training programmes available to those people that are already employed?
Yes
10. Are applicants referred by Connexions Personal Advisers considered for training programmes?
Yes
11. Is it possible for applicants to be kept on a waiting list if a place on a training programme is not immediately available?
No ? a waiting list is not normally relevant as access to qualification programmes is usually available all year round
12. How should employers make contact?
Employers can make contact by phone, e-mail, web site or in writing. We will talk to the employers about their training and recruitment requirements and either help them to recruit new staff or train their existing employees.
13. Is there any charge to employers?
No charges for delivery of any Apprenticeships
14. What other services are offered?
A1 (Assessor) and V1 (Verifier) qualifications. New Deal, Grosvenor Group (mother company) offers other commercial training in business and development
15. Are there any special entry requirements for the apprenticeships available through this organisation?
