1. How to apply
Applicants can apply for an Apprenticeship direct to PBL or by talking to their careers (Connexions) personal advisor. Alternatively, applicants can also contact Julie on 01323 846868 or email julie@p-b-l.co.uk
2. Are all applicants interviewed and if so where/how does this happen?
Yes - depends on whether applicants are employed or seeking employment. Some interviews are done over the phone.
3. Does training take place at the work place or at other places as well?
A limited number of group training sessions form a part of all programmes.
4. Can a training programme be started at any point in the year?
Yes, although there is an annual enrolment for the Programme-Led Apprenticeship in September and October each year.
5. How much do apprentices normally get paid?
Learners are paid at least £95 a week when employed, but it will depend on the employer - some pay more. Programme-Led Apprentices (on placement - not in employment) are eligible to apply for Education Maintenance Allowance of up to £30 oer week.
6. Are all apprentices employed from the start by their companies they train with?
Some level 2 learners may not be employed initially, but will have opportunity to become employed.
7. What help is there in finding a job?
Working with Connexions; advice on CV and letter writing.
8. Do you keep lists of current job vacancies?
Yes
9. Are training programmes available to those people that are already employed?
Yes
10. Are applicants referred by Connexions Personal Advisers considered for training programmes?
Yes
11. Is it possible for applicants to be kept on a waiting list if a place on a training programme is not immediately available?
Yes

13. Is there any charge to employers?
Not at present.
14. What other services are offered?
Fully taught management qualifications - ILM NVQ only in childcare and management.
